[Korean Cosmetic Review] Will This Cushion Foundation Give You Velvety Matte Skin?
Will This Cushion Foundation Give You Velvety Matte Skin?
With zero caking and smudging?
Sun protection. Zero caking. Humidity-resistant. The ETUDE Double Lasting Cushion Matte Foundation is packed with plenty of compelling features, so much so that it’s spurred a cushion newbie (me!) to give it a go. Did this foundation help me achieve the desirable #MySkinButBetter effect? Find out in my review below.
First impressions
The ETUDE Double Lasting Cushion Matte foundation aims to cover up imperfections while soothing and relieving irritated skin.
The ETUDE Double Lasting Cushion Matte foundation features a discreet, black matte packaging and comes with a handy puff applicator. The latest addition to its Double Lasting range, this product has an SPF of 50 PA++++ (its predecessor has an SPF of 34 PA ++) and promises to leave users with “perfect skin mask off”, without any caking or smudging in sight — an attractive plus point given our need to mask up for the foreseeable future.
Available in six shades, the product also features the brand’s Double Fixing System to prevent the foundation from flaking, breaking down or oxidising due to the skin’s sebum secretion. It’s certified to last a full 24 hours too, while remaining resistant to moisture, oil and humidity.
Above all, the reason why this product had caught my attention was due to its list of ingredients that have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, such as calamine, panthenol, madecassosida and cica. As someone with sensitive skin, I was intrigued by its claims in providing users with velvet-like skin without causing irritation or breakouts.

I'd purchase the ETUDE Double Lasting Cushion Matte foundation in a heartbeat.
